Appointments are scheduled during office hours:
Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

We do our best to schedule appointments with your doctor at a time most convenient for you. For urgent appointments, we will try to fit you in at the earliest available time. If you are calling for a physical or a pre-operative appointment, please let us know so we can schedule the appropriate amount of time. Lab tests such as blood work, urinalysis, and injections are appointment only.

• Arrive 15 minutes early for your first appointment so we may get you checked in.

• If you are unable to make your appointment, please let us know with as much advanced notice as possible.

• Bring a government issued photo id.

Physician Referrals

Before you schedule an appointment or see another physician/specialist outside of Southdale Internal Medicine, we recommend that you contact your health insurance company. As many times a referral is needed in order for the patient to see a physician other than his/her primary care physician. There may also be guidelines with regard to which specialist a patient may see. Should you require a referral please contact your physician's assistant.

For patients with managed care options we are in the Minnesota Health Care Network (MHN)

Prescriptions

& Refills

To avoid running out of medications, check your supply well in advance of upcoming weekends, holidays and vacations so you can be certain you have a sufficient supply.

We require a 2-business day notice for refills.

Please contact your pharmacist who will call Southdale Internal Medicine for authorization, if needed.

For mail order prescriptions, please allow 7-10 business days for delivery.
